If you are interested in becoming part of the Scottish Borders Cycle Speedway Group's Under 13's Cycle Speedway Team THEN COME ALONG TO THE LAUNCH EVENT at the Hayward Scout Centre, St Johns Street, Galashiels. Tuesday 28th February 6.30 - 7.15 pm. Find out more about cycle speedway, meet other riders and parents and some of the group's partners. Then sign up for free coaching/training sessions and an opportunity to represent the Scottish Borders at the 2023 Cycle Speedway Scottish League Series. Races will be held in Edinburgh, Dunfermline and Glasgow. Riders should ideally be aged 8 years or above but below the age of 13 and should be competent and confident bike riders. The free team practice sessions will be held outdoors on a grass track in Victoria ark, Selkirk, where we will have use of the toilets at the adjacent swimming pool. We have also been invited to join the Fife Revolutions at their track in Dunfermline for joint practice sessions. Special Cycle Speedway bikes will be available free of charge and taken to each practice/race venue. Information about making yo9ur own speedway bike will be available when you sign up, as well as advice on appropriate race kit for this activity.
