Border Cycle Speedway provides an opportunity for bike riders of all ages to experience the excitement and challenge of track cycling on a variety of surfaces at both outdoor and indoor venues.
We have a range of purpose built and converted bikes, from 12″ to 26″ wheels, no brakes or gears and free-wheel hubs, which we use at the sessions.
Previous clients include Live Borders and Active Schools and we have also run many come-and-try sessions at SBC playpark openings in Galashiels, Kelso and Oxton, the Hawick Bike Festival and St Boswell’s and Earlston community days.
Our intention is to bring track racing to those who are not able to visit velodromes and cycle speedway tracks in Glasgow and Edinburgh and to coach skills that can be applied across many other cycling disciplines.”15″
