Our ebikes arrived on the Monday and by the following Saturday (2nd of October) 8 happy hosts were riding them away. The hosts try them out for a month to see if they fit into their lifestyles. In exchange for a donation to cover the running costs of this not for profit project.
The space at our base in Tweedbank was buzzing with ebikers, new and experienced, pedal bikers, Greener Melrose supporters and the press. We had a stall complete with bunting and the most delicious cakes to go with teas and coffees. The rain held off, the paper work was done, all the accessories were handed out and the ebikers pedaled happily away.
